Matt Bahr
Matt began his insurance career in 1998 as an insurance adjuster with Erie Insurance. Along with serving during catastrophes such as the LaPlata tornado and Hurricane Isabel, Matt was awarded the Erie Insurance Group Robert H. Marrion Employee of the Year in 2007. In 2008, Matt received an appointment from Erie Insurance and opened Bahr Insurance Agency.
Matt’s claims experience and extensive knowledge of policies allow him to recommend the coverage you will need if a loss should occur. Matt’s passion for insurance and real world experience are rare qualities to find in an agent, ones that set him aside from other agents. Matt holds designations as an A.I.C, A.I.S., and is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and The District of Columbia.
Stacey Bahr
Stacey began working in the insurance industry with the start of Bahr Insurance. Prior to Bahr Insurance, she was a social worker and owned Stacey Bahr Photography. Stacey loves spending time with her family, including her three children and dogs. She also enjoys doing community service, most notably with the committee for the Festival of Trees to support hospice.
Cheyenne Umbel
Cheyenne Umbel is a licensed agent specializing in life and commercial sales. Cheyenne is originally from West Virginia and made Maryland her new home in 2018. In her spare time, Cheyenne enjoys volunteering at the animal shelter and spending time with her husband, 2 sons, and adorable pups.
Beauregard “Beau” Bahr
Beau Bahr is the youngest and furriest employee at Bahr Insurance. His primary responsibilities include greeting customers, providing moral support to employees, and then begging from employees. In his free time, Beau enjoys fetching sticks in the woods, running on the beach, and stealing stuffed animals from his human siblings.
Julie Pugh
Julie came to Bahr Insurance with a wealth of knowledge, previously working for Texas Instruments, Century 21 as a realtor, GRA mortgage company, Lockheed Martin, and Kathleen Moran law offices. Beyond keeping everyone and everything perfectly organized, she is the proud president of Beau’s fan club.
Heidi Bates
Heidi moved with her family to Southern Maryland in 2024 from Washington State as her husband proudly serves in the United States Navy. Heidi previously worked for Tradewinds Insurance Agency in Whidbey Island, Washington. Heidi is an amazing team member and handles the majority of our policy changes and needs. Heidi is the proud mom to 3 beautiful children and one pup.
